Zitek and Boyd Top Finishers at Lions' Last Chance Meet

A pair of Violets posted second-place finishes at the Lions' Last Chance Meet at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ, on Thursday.

Andrew Zitek (5,000 meters) and Ryan Boyd (3,000-meter steeplechase) placed second in their respective races.

In the 5,000m, Zitek led a trio of NYU runners with his time of 15:08.09. Following right behind him was Sebastian Schwelm in third place (15:16.33). Dylan Karten took sixth (15:22.59).

In the steeplechase, Boyd's time was 9:50.30. Brian Broderick produced a fourth-place finish for the Violets.

Also competing for NYU was Daniel McKinney in the 400 meters. He finished ninth with a time of 48.91.
