Women's Swimming & Diving Team Earns Third Win

Violets Remain Undefeated with Victory at Rowan

Freshman Kristen Fujii was a two-event winner against Rowan University.

New York University women's swimming and diving team defeated Rowan University by a score of 147- 96 on Saturday in Glassboro, NJ.

Junior Danielle Hildebrandt was a two-event winner, capturing first place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:59.89 and as a member of the victorious 400-freestyle relay team (3:47.04). She also finished second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:14.27.

Freshman Kristen Fujii also won two events, notching victories in the 100 freestyle (55.74) and as a member of the 400-medley relay team (2:00.00).

Senior Molly Hawkinson finished second in the one-meter dive with 168.45 points, while sophomore Amanda Moffa took the second spot in the three-meter event accumulating 159 points.

“I was really impressed with the depth of our team,” said NYU head coach Lauren Beam. “Everybody contributed and helped us win.”

The Violets (3-0) will be back in the pool for a tri-meet featuring Wheaton College and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on Saturday, Nov. 15, in Norton, MA.
