The New York University women's swimming and diving team continued to dominate on Friday, March 20, at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships. The meet is hosted by Franklin College at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, IN.
At the end of night three the Violets lead with 375 points, 55.5 points ahead of Emory University who sits in second with 319. 5.
"Last night was incredible, but somehow we topped it," said Head Coach Trevor Miele.
The Violets opened the night with a new program record in the 200-yard medley relay (1:40.85) and All-American honors. The team of
Nicole Ranile,
Babette Bradley,
Maeve O'Donnell, and
Kaley McIntyre set the new record by seven hundredths of a second.
Ranile (1:58.51) finished first and secured the National Championship in the 200 fly.
Reina Gomez (2:02.45) finished fourth in the consolation final, 12th overall and earned All-American Second Team honors.
Freshman O'Donnell (54.28) added another National title with a first place finish in the 100 back.
The Violets closed out the night with a National Championship in the 800 freestyle relay.
Emery Muller,
Lian Jeong Engle, Ranile, and
Llew Ladomirak secured the win with a time of 7:17.27, 1.74 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
"Winning two relays and adding two individual NCAA titles in the same night is something special," added Miele.
The final day of the competition kicks off on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM EST with preliminary races, followed by the evening finals, which begin at 6:00 PM.
