Tear It Up! is an NYU Athletics tradition established in 2005 that gives new and returning members of the NYU community special opportunities throughout the academic year to cheer on their fellow Violets! Tear It Up! events encompass all of our varsity programs, from the field, to the court, to the pool, with Violets giveaways, food, and special guest appearances.

Tear It Up! is back for the 2026-27 season, and we're ready to welcome you to NYU on Tuesday, 9/1 with NYU Women's Volleyball
The Violets will open their season against Ramapo College on their home court at the John A. Paulson Center.
The event is set to start at 6:30 PM. We will have free food and free t-shirts for Violets fans, as well as additional games and prizes throughout the match!
