Following an impressive winter season for the New York University swimming & diving teams, four student-athletes received Academic All-America honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
To be eligible to earn CSC All-America honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, and must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. To be considered, swimming and diving athletes must have competed in five competitions or finished top-eight at a conference meet.
The women's swimming and diving team had three members honored, as Nicole Ranile was named First Team Academic All-America, Kaley McIntyre earned Second Team honors and Emery Muller received Third Team accolades.
For the men's team, Stone Miller was selected Third Team Academic All-American.
Ranile had a stellar season, collecting national titles in the 200 butterfly and 800 freestyle relay at the NCAA Championships. She played a key role in helping the Violets secure their first-ever National Championship in program history. This is her second consecutive Academic All-America honor.
McIntyre ends her time as a Violet as one of the most accomplished swimmers in program history. She earned Division III Swimmer of the Year as well as the national title in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle three years in a row.
Muller joined Ranile on the championship 800 freestyle relay national title team and also earned All-America honors in 200, 500, and 1650 freestyle.
Miller earned All-American at the NCAA Championship with a third-place finish as a member of the Violets' 200 freestyle relay which set a new NYU program record. His performance helped the Violets finish national runner-up, the best result in program history.
