Members of the New York University men's and women's track and field teams returned to action on Saturday, Apr. 11, competing at The College of New Jersey's TCNJ Invitational and the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell University.
Three of the four Violet throwers at the TCNJ Invitational landed in the top ten on Saturday.
Daniel Lee topped the leaderboard in the men's discus throw, maxing out at 43.90m.
Emma Grunin threw a season-best 37.87m in the women's javelin, scoring a third-place finish. The 37.87m mark is the 43rd-best mark in Division III this season.
In the men's hammer throw,
Ujjayan Behera finished in ninth place on a 36.09m mark.
The distance and mid-distance runners took to the track at Bucknell.
Olivia Jackson recorded a personal best in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing in sixth with a 10:44.48 time. NYU added another top ten finish in the Women's 5000m Invitational race, with
Stella Kuttner taking tenth place in 16:33.85.
The Violets closed out the night in 10,000m Invitational.
Liam Hagerty secured a seventh-place finish with a 29:45.55 time. In the women's race,
Lucy Gott took eleventh place in 35:34.96.
NYU returns to action at the Paul Donahue Invitational, hosted by Widener University, Apr. 17-18.
