The Violets claimed the opening point by sweeping the doubles matches.

In singles play, the Violets secured the match with five out of six victories.

At No. 1, von Hellens led the way with a 7–5, 6–1 win. At No. 3, Louis Frowein earned a 6–4, 6–2 victory, while Ito added a 6–2, 6–3 win at No. 4. At No. 5, Fan secured a hard-fought 6–3, 3–6, [10–8] victory after rallying in the match tiebreak. Cooper Kline added a 6–3, 6–4 win at No. 6.

"It was a good bounce back win after last weekend," said Head Coach Horace Choy. "Stevens is a team that has always give us problems so I'm happy the way the guys stepped up. Our doubles set the tone early with a quick win at 2 by Jeh-lei and Shido. Nikita and Kaustav got a good win at 3 to give us the doubles point. Our guys are looking to keep it going against RIT tomorrow."

The Violets will return to action on Sunday, March 8, for Tear It Up! Day, when they host Rochester Institute of Technology at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx, NY.
