The Violets secured the doubles point to open the match.

The No. 1 pairing of Bryan Hui and Niklas von Hellens earned a 6–1 victory, while the No. 3 duo of Louis Frowein and Boris Slesarev clinched the point with a 6–2 win.

In singles play, NYU earned three additional victories to secure the team win.

Von Hellens won 6–3, 6–2 at the No. 1 spot, and Hui followed with a 6–1, 6–3 win at No. 2. Frowein provided the fourth and deciding point at No. 3, winning his match 6–3, 6–4 to clinch the match for NYU. At the No. 6 spot, Boris Slesarev retired after a 6–4 first set.

"The men played well and came away with a well-deserved victory," said Head Coach Horace Choy. "We were led by the top of the lineup with Nik and Bryan winning in singles and doubles and Louis doing the same. We have won some competitive matches and that experience will help us down the road. Hopefully we can keep our momentum going against UAA rival Rochester next weekend."

The Violets return to action on Saturday, March 28, when they face the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.
