Men's Tennis Finishes Play at ITA Regionals

Bryan Hui and Philip Martin Fall in Round of 16

The New York University men's tennis team finished competition at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday, October 4, in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Philip Martin and Bryan Hui were unable to advance past the Round of 16, as both fell in their morning singles matches.

Martin lost to Fernando Bauermeister from Vassar College 6-0, 4-2 (retired).

Hui lost to Eugene Lee 6-4, 6-4, also from Vassar.

"I'm disappointed for Phil as this is his last ITA Tournament," Head Coach Horace Choy said. "He's been battling injury all Fall and aggravated it again yesterday. He was hoping to play through it, but wasn't able to."

The ITA's marked the end of the Violets' fall schedule. The squad will return to action when the Violets host Union College for a match on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Bronx, NY.
