Three New York University student-athletes have earned weekly conference honors following their outstanding performances last week. 

Jiayi Fu of women's golf, Maksym Nechydyuk of men's swimming, and Meera Kasturi of women's diving were all named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athletes of the Week. Additionally, Fu earned Liberty League Performer of the Week distinction. 

Competing at the Tartan Invitational last Monday and Tuesday, Fu was top finisher in the individual standings with a score of -8. Through the first round, she was in 11th place before her second round score of -7 boosted her up 10 spots. As a team, the Violets finished in second place. 

In men's swimming's season-opening competition against Division II West Chester University, Nechydyuk registered a first-place finish in the 200-yard IM and second-place finishes in both the 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard breaststroke. NYU defeated the Golden Rams 149-94. 

Kasturi starred in the diving portion of Saturday's meet against West Chester with the top scores in the one and three-meter dives, as the women posted a 184-53 win over the Golden Rams.
