The New York University wrestling team completed a weekend sweep of its opponents by defeating New Jersey City University 40-3 on Saturday night in Jersey City, NJ.
The Violets were
victorious over #12 Stevens Institute of Technology, 22-19, on Friday.
NYU, now 9-3 in dual meets this season, won nine of the 11 bouts on Saturday.
Three Violets produced falls:
Jason Geyer (174),
Scott DuPont (184) and
Evan Anderson (285).
Cooper Pontelandolfo (165) and
Benny Bautista (133) both posted technical falls for NYU.
NYU returns to the mat next Saturday, February 4, for a tri-meet hosted by Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA. The Violets will face host Bridgewater State and the
#22-ranked United States Coast Guard Academy.
