The New York University Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams hosted the NYU Invitational on Friday and Saturday, February 18-19, at the Palladium Natatorium in Manhattan.

For some participants, it marked the end of their 2021-22 season competition, while for the seniors it marked the last home meet of their NYU careers.

The teams' seniors were honored in a ceremony following Saturday's events:

Women: Imaal Ahmed, Ashley Brodnick, Rebecca Choi, Emily Fung, Nika Kouznetsova, Emilie Parks, Ashlyn Winship.

Men: Graham Chatoor, Jacob Haines, Andrew Holzman, Nathan Huot, John Piccinic, Alec Reimon

"It was a great 'Senior Day' for NYU Diving," said Diving Coach Todd Kolean. "Ashlyn had a great final home meet and Jackie Swick, Claire Stephenson and Mitchell Mortenson received their second score to qualify for the NCAA Regional Diving Meet next weekend."

Seven women and four men will now compete for NYU at the NCAA Regionals next weekend at Smith College in Northampton, MA.

Winship won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, while Mortensen finished first in the three-meter.

"We had a great time at our last home meet of the season," Winship offered. "Everyone looks really strong heading into Regionals, and I think that NYU Diving is going to finish strong!"

In the pool, Parks capped her home career by winning the 200 and 500 freestyle events and leading off the Violets victorious 400 freestyle relay along with Kouznetsova, Ahmed and Choi. In addition, Candice Saxod achieved an NCAA B qualifying time in the 200 IM (2:04.16).

The men's 200 freestyle relay, the foursome of Ajay Watanakun, Reimon, David Basin, and Piccinic set a team record and posted an NCAA qualifying time of    1:21.27 in Friday's prelims, while Nathaniel Yeoh posted an NCAA-qualifying time of 1:38.2 in the 200 freestyle.
