The New York University men's tennis team was defeated by Carnegie Mellon University 5-0 on the second day of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship, which is being held Friday-Sunday, April 26-28, in Altamonte Springs, FL.

In doubles play, the Violets dropped all three matches. Zeb Zheng and Rahul Das fell 8-4 in the #1 match, and Vishal Walia and Shrikar Kundur played another tight match in #3 doubles, but ultimately fell 8-6.

In singles play, Zheng fell in the #6 match 6-0, 6-4 after making it close in the second set. Stefan Rodic fell 6-2, 6-0 in the #2 match. The other four singles matches were left unfinished.

"Carnegie is a good team and came up with big shots when they needed them," said Head Coach Horace Choy. "We have to be better tomorrow to end the season with a win."
