OFFICIAL RESULTS
The New York University women's tennis team defeated the University of Rochester 9-0 on Sunday, April 14th, at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx.
With the Senior Day victory, the Violets finish the regular season 8-1, while the Yellowjackets stand at 5-7 with one match left to play.
In doubles play, the Violets started off strong.
Fleura Shiyanova and
Coco Kulle won the #1 match 8-2,
Anna Maria Buraya and
Judy Kam won the #2 match 8-1, and
Kate Shaffer and
Rupa Ganesh won the #3 match 8-2.
The women continued their dominant play in singles. Buraya won the #1 match 6-1, 6-1, Kulle won the #2 match 6-1, 6-1, Shiyanova won the #3 match 6-1, 6-1, Ganesh won the #4 match 6-4, 6-2, Kam won the #5 match 6-1, 6-0, and
Alice McGinty won the #6 match 6-1, 6-0.

Horace Choy. "They were focused early on and set the tone with their strong doubles play. They carried it over to singles and dominated play."
Up next for the Violets is the UAA Championship, which begins Thursday, April 25, in Alamonte Springs, FL.
