The women started off strong in doubles play, winning all three matches.

Fleura Shiyanova won the #1 match 8-2,
Kate Shaffer and
Rupa Ganesh won the #2 match 8-4, and
Vanessa Scott and
Judy Kam won the #3 match 8-5.
The Violets continued their strong play in singles. Buraya won the #1 match 6-3, 7-5, Shiyanova won the #2 match 7-6 (1), 6-3, Ganesh won the #3 match 6-3, 6-0, Shaffer won a tough #5 match 2-6, 7-6 (3), 11-9, and Scott won the #6 match 6-4, 6-0.
"Quick wins by Rupa and Vanessa clinched the match for us, and Kate overcame a tough start to win in 3," said Head Coach
Horace Choy. "It was another good win for us. We got off to a good start, sweeping the doubles. Wellesley fought back in the singles and were up early, but our women stopped the momentum and closed it out in solid fashion."
The Violets return to action tomorrow, March 10, at 11:00am, when they go up against Salisbury University at the Stadium Tennis Center.
