The New York University women's golf program received multiple honors from the Liberty League on Wednesday, May 17.
Junior Alyssa Poentis was named Liberty League Player of the Year while freshman
Arisa Kimura received Rookie of the Year honors. In addition, the Violets earned Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year honors, as Head Coach

Meaghan Kenny led the team to the Liberty League title and a program-best fifth place-finish at the recently-completed (May 9-12) NCAA Championship.
Poentis finished the season with a NYU-best 77.2 average and recorded an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Championship. The Honolulu, HI, shared the individual title at the Liberty League Championship and won the NYU Invitational during the season.
Poentis received both Player and Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman, as well as First Team All-Liberty League accolades as a sophomore.
Kimura, who boasted a 79.7 average during the season, shared the individual Liberty League title with Poentis. Kimura was also victorious at the St. Lawrence Invitational and tied for 37th at the NCAA Championship. She posted four top-10 finishes and eight top-20 finishes during the season.
NYU's coaching trio directed the team to five tournament victories, two runner-up finishes and two third-place showings during the season. NYU has now won Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year honors in each of the last three seasons.
