The New York University men's tennis team was defeated by #24 (NCAA.com) Skidmore College 8-1 on Saturday, March 4, in Saratoga Springs, NY. The Violets are now 1-1 on the season.
Senior
Umberto Setter picked up the lone win for NYU. The Bedano, Switzerland, native defeated Steven Koulouris 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in #2 singles.
"It was a tough loss for the team," said NYU Head Coach
Horace Choy. "We were competitive in just about every match, but Skidmore did a better job on the big points."

Vishal Walia lost a close 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 match to John Wynne in #4 singles.
- Freshman
Michael Li was defeated in three sets (3-6, 6-2, 10-4) by Ted Berkowitz in #5 singles.
- Sophomore
Yanik Parsch fell to Travis Leaf (6-2, 3-6, 10-3) in #6 singles.
The Violets return to the court against Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, on Friday, March 10.
