The New York University men's tennis team defeated Baruch College 9-0 on Tuesday, April 8, at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx, NY.
The #23 Violets improved to 6-1 on the season while the Bearcats lost their first match, dropping to 5-1.
In singles, the Violets did not drop a set for the second match in a row.
Aaron Meltzer played particularly well, not losing a game in singles play.
In doubles,
Steven Wu and Meltzer teamed up again for the first time since April 2, earning their third victory of the year as a pair.
"The team had a long weekend, but came out ready to play," said NYU Head Coach
Horace Choy. "We had solid performances from all three doubles teams. That staked us to a 3-0 lead. In singles, the guys played well, as they have most of the year.
Matt DeMichiel has found his form and extended his winning streaks in singles and doubles."
