The New York University men's and women's soccer teams continue University Athletic Association (UAA) play this weekend on the road against the University of Chicago and Washington University.
Both Violet squads will battle Chicago on Friday, October 31, before heading to St. Louis to square off against Washington on Sunday, November 2.
Friday's doubleheader in Chicago will kick off with the men's game at 3:30 pm (CT), followed by the women's game at 6:00 pm (CT). Sunday's games against the Bears will start with the men at 11:00 am (CT), once again followed by the women at 1:30 pm (CT).
Freshman
Liam Stimpson leads the Violet men (11-3, 2-2 UAA) in points (15) and is followed by classmate
Malcolm Montilus (13). Goaltender
Lucas Doucette (five shutouts) will look to continue his successful season, first against the Maroons (8-5-2, 2-0-2), and again versus the Bears (7-5-2, 0-3-1).
The Violet women (10-4-1, 2-1-1) will look to improve their Association record against a pair of ranked opponents. Chicago (11-3-1, 2-1-1) is currently16th in the country, while Washington (12-1-2, 2-1-1) is #5.
Senior
Cami Crawford (14 points) leads the NYU women offensively and
reigning UAA Defensive Athlete of the Week Phoebe Miller leads the Violets defensively. NYU enters this weekend's games allowing just 3.2 shots on goal per game.
