The New York University men's tennis team was recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in their Division III Preseason Poll, released on Thursday, October 31.
 
In the team poll, NYU is ranked 14th in the Northeast Region. The Violets climbed as high as 13th in the region during the 2012-13 campaign and finished the season ranking 14th, as well.
 
Senior Steven Wu was featured in the ITA individual poll, as well. He is currently ranked fifth in the Northeast Region, and 24th in the nation. He will be looking to build on a successful fall season in which he reached the finals of the singles tournament of the ITA Northeast Championships in September.
 
The Violets will open their spring season when they take on Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, on Saturday, March 1.
