Crowley Victorious in Three Events

Crowley gave the Violets a boost, winning three races against Stevens.

New York University's men's swimming & diving team suffered a loss to the Stevens Institute of Technology (168-85) on Saturday, November 10. The meet took place at the Palladium Athletic Facility Natatorium in Manhattan.

This was the first meet in which the Violets' new Head Coach (and former All-American swimmer), Trevor Miele, competed against the team he coached the past six seasons, Stevens.

Highlights:

- Jerry Crowley continued to impress for the Violets, winning the 50-yard freestyle race with a time of 21.34 and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.41. Crowley was also victorious in the 100-yard butterfly (52.47).

- Charlie Wu came out on top in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:22.97.

- A team consisting of Noah Cheng, Aleksandr Koukharevitch, Alexander Maquet, and Phil Wiesel won the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:28.70).

The Violets will get back into the pool for their next meet on Saturday, November 17, when they face The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. The competition will begin at 2:00 pm.
