The Jewish Sports Review has named New York University center Andy Stein an Honorable Mention DII/DIII College Basketball All-American.
Playing in all 27 games in 2009-10, and starting all but one, Stein led the Violets in blocks with 27. He averaged 10.6 points per game, second only to teammate Keith Jensen.
Additionally, Stein posted a 51.1 field goal percentage and tallied 4.6 rebounds per game. He scored a season-high 21 points in an ECAC Tournament quarterfinal win over New Jersey City University.
For his strong season, Stein was also named Honorable Mention All-University Athletic Association.
For the last 12 years, the Jewish Sports Review has selected All-America college teams in baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse based on individual performance throughout their respective NCAA seasons.
