New York University's men's basketball team earned
D3hoops.com and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) recognition.
Head Coach
Waleed Farid was named
D3hoops.com Region IV Coach of the Year in his first season with the Violets. He led the team to an 18-9 overall record and to the Second Round of the NCAA DIII Tournament. This is Farid's second Coach of the Year recognition, having earned the Region III nod during the 2024-25 season.
Carnegie Johnson was named to the Region IV Second Team by
D3hoops.com and to the District 4 Second Team by the NABC. Alongside him,
Luke Kolaja earned Region IV Third Team recognition.
Johnson led the team in assists (109) and points per game (15.2) in his first season with the Violets.
Kolaja was third on the team in points per game (13.9) and rebounds (5.4).
Both were also named Second Team All-UAA.
