Brett Longobucco was hired as New York University’s Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in September 2021.

Longobucco joins the NYU staff after most recently serving as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at the
University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, since August 2018. While there, he was responsible for all facets of the Strength and Conditioning program for the Eagles’ 23 varsity sports teams.

Prior to his stint at Mary Washington, Longobucco worked at Castleton State University in Castleton, VT, as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach from 2016-18. He was also a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Miami (FL) in 2016 and a Strength and Conditioning Intern at Harvard University in 2013.

Longobucco also directed the Strength and Conditioning programs for various youth soccer clubs and was the Head Men’s U18 Soccer Coach for the Summit Futbol Club in Rutland, VT, from 2017-18.

A 2014 graduate of Endicott College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, Longobucco was a four-year soccer team member for the Gulls. He also earned a Master’s in Exercise Physiology-Strength and Conditioning, Fitness Entrepreneurship from the University of Miami in 2016.

Longobucco holds various certifications, including NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW Sport Performance Coach 1 and United Soccer Coaches-Advanced National Diploma.

A member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Longobucco is a native of Torrington, CT, and resides in New York City.
