Steven Keith was hired as an assistant wrestling coach at New York University prior to the 2019-20 season. His main responsibilities include working with the team’s lower weight classes and helping to run practices.
 
A 2013 graduate of Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, Keith was a four-year varsity wrestler and senior captain for the Crimson. He qualified for the NCAA Division I Championship all four years and earned All-America honors at 133 pounds in 2012.
 
Keith has brought extensive coaching experience to his position at NYU. In 2013-14, he served as an assistant coach for Stanford University’s wrestling team and as the head coach of the Cardinal Wrestling Club, coaching student-athletes between the ages of five and 18. More recently, Keith served as a volunteer assistant coach at both Brown University and Johnson and Wales University from 2016-18.
 
While working at Brown and Johnson and Wales, Keith also held the position of Executive Director at Beat the Streets Providence. In January 2019, he began working at Beat the Streets New York as the Training Center Coordinator.
 
A native of Shoreham, NY, Keith resides in Manhattan.
