Cedric Williams was added as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for New York University’s track and field teams in April 2024.
The 2024-25 season produced an outstanding set of results as NYU’s track & field teams reached new heights. A record nine individuals qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, with three (Tobin – 5k, Cooper – 5k, and Stella Kuttner – 1500m) earning United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America honors. Indoors, Tobin won the UAA 3k and achieved All-America honors in both the 3k and 5k, while Katherine Cochrane was also a 5k All-American.
Williams, who also works as an Investments Analyst at Slate Asset Management in New York City, brought a high-level Division I track and field experience to the Violets.
Graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, Williams was team captain of the Midshipmen’s track and field team and was inducted into Navy’s Track and Field Hall of Fame in 2021.
A native of Powder Springs, GA, Williams is a five-time Patriot League champion in both the triple jump and long jump, being named All-Patriot League five times.
Williams is also currently a Real Estate Agent at Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty and a resident of Brooklyn, NY.
