Christina Lu joined the New York University Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving teams as the Assistant Diving Coach in October 2021.
A 2018 graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a double minor in Criminal Justice and Chinese, Lu was a four-year member of the Crimson Tide’s diving team. She served as captain and was a finalist in the 10-meter platform event at the SEC Championships.
Prior to joining the NYU staff, Lu served as an assistant diving coach at another Division I program, Columbia University.
In 2016, Lu founded the International Federation Athletic Foundation, which gives underprivileged foreign athletes an opportunity to be educated within the appropriate NCAA collegiate programs based on their career applications. The foundation also prepares students for visa and institution interviews and standardized exams.
Lu also currently serves as a Physical Therapy Intern at the Harlem Hospital Center while attending Hunter College to prepare for physical therapy school.
A native of San Francisco, CA, Lu resides in Brooklyn, NY.
