Jessica McEntee is in her second season as an assistant coach of the New York University women's basketball team. Her responsibilities include recruiting, skill development of the team’s post players, game scouting, and practice planning.
 
In her first season on staff, the Violets went 10-15 and 2-12 in the ultra-competitive University Athletic Association (UAA).
 
A 2009 graduate of NYU’s College of Arts and Science with a Bachelors of Arts degree in economics, McEntee returned to her alma matter as one of the most decorated players in team history. A four-year player, she finished her career ranked third all-time in scoring (1,711) and second in rebounding (1,133). McEntee compiled 50 double-doubles in 108 career games and graduated as the team’s career leader in free throws made (678), free throws attempted (837) and free throw percentage (81.0%). She is one of only three Violets, male or female, to compile more than 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds.

A two-year captain, McEntee helped lead the Violets to an 82-28 (.745) record, three NCAA Tournament appearances (including the Final Four in 2007 and Sweet Sixteen in 2009), and a University Athletic Association (UAA) Co-Championship in ’07. During her career, McEntee garnered numerous All-America Accolades (D3hoops.com First Team ’07, ’09, Women’s DIII News Second Team ’06, ’07, Player of the Year ’09, D3hoops.com Second Team ’06, First Team ’09, Kodak/WBCA Division III ’06, ’09). She was named Player of the Year by Women's DIII News her senior year and three times by the UAA. She also earned D3Hoops.com East Region Player of the Year honors as a senior, ECAC Division III Metro Player of the Year accolades as a sophomore and junior, and Metropolitan Basketball Writers’ Association (MBWA) Division III Player of the Year honors in ’07 and ’09.
 
McEntee served as an assistant coach for the girls’ varsity basketball team at her high school alma mater, Archbishop Molloy, in 2010-11. She helped lead the team to the New York State Federation Class A Championship, the first such title won by the team since McEntee’s junior year.
 
After graduating, McEntee worked as a realtor in Bayside, NY, doing residential and commercial real estate, as well as rentals. She has also competed in the NYC Nautica Triathlon.
 
McEntee is a native and resident of Flushing, NY.
