Inara Sharma was hired as an assistant coach of the New York University men's and women's golf team in March 2025.
A graduate of Santa Clara University, Sharma earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with honors and a minor in International Business. A four-year member of the NCAA Division I Santa Clara women’s golf team, she served as team captain from 2022 to 2024.
During her collegiate career, Sharma earned West Coast Conference All-Academic honors in multiple seasons and was recognized as a WGCA All-American Scholar each year.
In addition to her athletic career, Sharma has experience as a freelance golf coach and has conducted research on sports psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and athlete performance. She has presented her findings at TEDxLingnan University and has pursued certifications in responsible research conduct and behavioral research.
Sharma also has a background in marketing, project management, and business strategy, having worked as a marketing intern for Optimus Golf Performance and a project management and marketing officer in Hong Kong.
Currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Psychology at NYU, Sharma is a native of Hong Kong and resides in New York City.
