Ed Caesar is in his first season as interim head coach of New York University's men's and women's golf teams.  .

"I'm excited to be coaching the team and I am hoping to push them toward qualifying for the NCAA's," Caesar said.  "We have a good group of student-athletes here."

Caesar has notable experience in coaching NCAA teams at NYU.  He has served as the Violets' women's volleyball team head coach the past seven seasons.  He led NYU to five NCAA Division III Championship appearances, including a national runner-up performance in 2003 and a national semifinal appearance in 2004. 

Overall, Caesar is 226-77 during his tenure on the Violets' volleyball sideline.  He was cited as the American Volleyball Coaches' Association Division III New York Region Coach of the Year in 2003, 2005 and 2006, while heading up the University Athletic Association Coaching Staff of the Year in 2003.
