2009-10: Team member, but did not compete due to injury. 2008-09: Posted a personal-best distance of 40.48m in the hammer throw at the UAA Outdoor Championships (4/25-26)…finished ninth in the event (39.36m) at the NYC Metropolitan Outdoor Championships (4/18)…notched personal-best showings in the weight throw (12.21m) and shot put (9.60m) in his collegiate debut at the Metropolitan Coaches Invitational (1/9). High School: Member of the indoor and outdoor track & field teams all four years…county champion in the hammer throw and weight throw as a senior…won three county championships (two hammer, one weight)…First Team All-County as a junior and a senior…qualified for the national championships in both the weight throw and the hammer as a senior…served as captain of the throwing team for three seasons and captain of the track & field team as a senior…volunteered at the Blythedale Children’s Hospital…member of the National Spanish Honor Society. Personal: Plays the guitar, alto saxophone, piano, and double bass…also enjoys painting and sketching…plans on operating his own music studio.
