The New York University men's and women's track & field teams participated in two competitions on Friday, April 17.
Theodore Udelson-Nee,
Katherine Cochran, and
Josephine Dziedzic took part in the Wake Forest Invitational, while 14 other Violets competed at the Paul Donahue Invitational, hosted by Widener University.
Udelson-Nee recorded a top-eight finish in the men's 5000-meter run with a time of 13:56.49.
Cochran and Dziedzic finished within 2.08 seconds of each other in the women's 5000-meter run with times of 16:34.94 and 16:37.02, respectively. The pair placed in the top-15 of the race.
At the Paul Donahue Invitational,
Brandon Meiner and
Micah Taffet each registered top-40 performances in the men's 5000-meter run with times of 15:17.89 and 18:52.99, respectively.
Rachel Newman finished just outside of the top-30 in the women's 5000-meter run with a time of 18:52.99.
In the field events,
Emma Grunin came in second in the women's javelin throw with a distance of 43.65. Additionally,
Alexa McMillian posted a second-place finish in the women's triple jump with a jump of 11.59.
Daniel Lee and
Nishad Sankar both collected top-10 performances in the men's discus and men's triple jump, respectively.
NYU will continue to compete at the Paul Donahue Invitational tomorrow, April 18, beginning at 10:00am.
