The New York University women's golf team opened play at the Jack Leaman Invitational, hosted by Amherst College, on Saturday, April 11th. The Violets are competing at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, MA.
The second-ranked NYU women's golf team sits in first place out of 12 teams after the opening round with a score of +14. Two golfers placed inside of the top-10 individual rankings.
Jiayi Fu led the Violets with a round of 70, placing 1st out of 66 competitors on the individual leader board. Sonia Hao followed with a 76.
Both Inha Jun and Tiya Chowdary carded rounds of 78.
Naomi Tan rounded out the lineup with an 81.
Srishti Dhurandhar competed in the individual tournament and posted a +8 (80).
The Violets will return to action on Sunday, April 12th, for the final round.
