The New York University men's and women's cross country teams earned academic accolades following their historical 2025 seasons. The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced both squads as All-Academic teams and the women's team as the Division III National Scholar Team of the Year.
Additionally, seven men's runners and eight women's runners have been named All-Academic Athletes.
In order to qualify for individual all-academic distinction, athletes must have achieved at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale and finished in the top 25 percent in their regional championship meet. All-Academic teams must have posted a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale for consideration.
Women's runners who were selected include

Lucy Gott,
Lindsay Guthrie,
Ashlyn Pallotta,
Paisley Piepgras,
Grace Rowley, and
Daniela Sekhar.
On the men's side,
Jeffrey Chen,
Liam Hagerty,
Alex Hrycysyzn,
Luke Munoz,
Huckleberry Oakes,
Andrew Taylor, and
Theodore Udelson-Nee earned All-Academic status.
Both sides placed on the podium at the DIII National Championships last Fall, with the men capturing fourth place and the women winning the National Championship.
