In a day that featured a plethora of offense, NYU won the opener 16-3, but dropped the nitecap 18-3.
The Violets' bats raked late in the opener, scoring nine runs in the top of the eighth inning.
After the Maroons scored the first run of game one in the bottom of the second inning, the Violets tied the game when
Kosta Mocklis knocked an RBI single with two runners on.

The Violets added to their lead the next inning when

Despite, the Maroons adding a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to close the deficit to 5-3, the Violets added 11 more runs in the final two innings.
Dunn maintained his position at the center of the Violets' offensive efforts in the eighth inning, hitting his first career grand slam in NYU's nine-run inning. Four players registered an RBI in the frame, including
Nate Pallotta's sixth home run of the season.
This was the sixth time this season the Violets scored at least 16 runs in a game, and the third time accomplishing the feat against a UAA opponent.
Jonathan Hyman improved his season record to 3-2 with the win in game one, going six innings. He allowed just three runs and seven hits, while recording six strikeouts.
Ansel Balmer and
Tyler Tedeschi combined for two scoreless innings in relief.
In game two, Dunn made it a seven-RBI day by knocking in the first run on a double. Chicago answered in the bottom of the frame with three runs.
Roggero and Mocklis logged back-to-back RBI doubles in the top of the third inning to tie the game at three, but the Maroons added three runs in the bottom of the inning to restore their lead.
They then scored 12 unanswered runs over the next three innings to secure the victory.
