Six players on the New York University men's volleyball team have been selected for the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American Teams.
Zach Knudsen, Devyn Nguyen, and Lucas Osiecki were named First Team, while Buddy Cohen, Emerson Evans and Ry Kagan earned Second Team honors.
The Violets completed the 2025 season with a 26-1 record, the most wins in program history. NYU advanced to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament before being eliminated by defending champion California Lutheran University.
Knudsen led NYU in digs (191) and digs per set (2.22) and was named United Volleyball Conference (UVC) Libero/Defensive Specialist of the Year, UVC All-Conference Second Team, AVCA All-Region II, and UVC All-Tournament Team. He ranked fifth in the UVC for digs per set.
Nguyen led the UVC and NYU in assists (911) and assists per set (10.35), and was second in digs (157) and digs per set (1.78). He was named UVC Co-Player of the Year, NCAA All-Region, UVC All-Conference First Team, AVCA All-Region II, and Morgan Classic All-Tournament Team.
Osiecki led NYU in points per set (4.1), kills per set (3.34) and service aces (51), and was second in points (353) and kills (287). He placed second in the UVC for service aces, and fourth in points per set and kills per set. Osiecki was named UVC All-Conference First Team, NCAA All-Region, Cougar Kickoff Classic MVP, Morgan Classic MVP, AVCA All-Region II, and UVC All-Tournament Team.
Cohen led NYU in blocks (87) and block assists (66), and was second in solo blocks (21). Ranked second in hitting percentage (.468) and third in blocks per set (0.98) in the UVC, he was named UVC All-Conference Second Team, NCAA All-Region, AVCA All-Region II, and Cougar Kickoff Classic All-Tournament.
Evans led NYU in points (361) and kills (293), and was third in digs (136) and blocks (58). He was named UVC All-Conference Second Team, UVC Championship Most Valuable Player, AVCA All-Region II, and UVC All-Tournament Team.
Kagan led the Violets in solo blocks (22) and was fourth in kills (174). He finished third in the UVC for hitting percentage (.437) and was fourth for blocks per set (0.93). Kagan was named UVC All-Conference First Team and AVCA All-Region II.
