The New York University women's tennis team delivered another commanding performance at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx, NY, securing a decisive 7-0 victory over William Smith College on Sunday, March 9. This marks the second straight match in which the Violets swept their opponent 7-0, following Saturday's dominant win over RIT.
The Violets set the tone early by sweeping all three doubles matches.
Isabella Hartman and
Victoria Wang controlled the No. 1 doubles match, securing a 6-4 victory.
Emma Kast and
Jimena Menendez followed at No. 2, winning convincingly 6-1. At No. 3 doubles,

In singles play, Menendez continued her strong performance, winning at No. 1 with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Hartman was just as dominant at No. 2, securing a 6-1, 6-4 win. Staunton and Vallabhaneni both bageled their opponents at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
NYU completed its success in the singles matches as Kast earned a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 5 and
Kendall Kamerschen controlled her match at No. 6 (6-2, 6-2).
"We had another strong performance through the lineup," said Head Coach
Horace Choy. "We were able to rotate some players in, and they stepped up with wins. The meat of the season is still ahead of us, so it's good to gain experience and get these victories."
The Violets improved to 4-1 on the season and will return to action on Saturday, March 15, when they travel to face The College of New Jersey. First serves are set for 12:00pm.
