The New York University women's tennis team continued its Spring campaign with its second win in as many days, defeating Union College 6-1 on Sunday, February 23, in Schenectady, NY.
The Violets swept all three doubles matches, dropping a total of nine games.
Isabella Hartman and
Victoria Wang won their match 6-4 before
Jimena Menendez and
Emma Kast wrapped up a 6-2 win.
Hannah Chang and
Norah Staunton completed the doubles domination with a 6-3 win.
Returning to the court for singles action, Menendez won her match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3.
Hartman split the first two sets of her match and was pushed to a third-set tiebreaker. In a back-and-forth frame, she came away with a 10-8 win to clinch the match.
Wang,
Aditi Narayan, and Sionna Vallabhaneni each won in straight sets as well. Narayan cruised to a win by dropping just two games.
NYU will next take on Swarthmore College on Saturday, March 1, in Swarthmore, PA at 4 p.m.
