The University Athletic Association (UAA) announced its All-UAA Soccer awards on Tuesday, November 11, and five members of New York University's
men's and
women's teams were recognized.
For the women,
Eileen Xu made the first-team for the second consecutive year, while
Marlee Scanlon was named to the second-team.
Rena Kalargiros was named as an honorable mention.
For the men,
Terra Nagai was named to the first-team and
Keyon Namdar earned an honorable mention.
The
#21-ranked women's team is heading to their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, going 9-3-6 on the season.
Xu played a pivotal role for the Violets on the defensive side, playing in all 18 matches and starting 15. In seven of the last eight matches, Xu played all 90 minutes, with the one exception being 82 minutes.
A sophomore forward, Scanlon led the scoring for the Violets with seven goals and one assist while appearing in every match.
Kalargiros started every match for the Violets in the midfield, where she notched two goals and four assists.
On the men's side, Nagai led NYU with six goals and three assists on the season. Namdar had one goal of his own and tied Nagai with three assists.
