The New York University men's tennis team shutout SUNY Oneonta 9-0 on Saturday, April 20, at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx, celebrating Senior Day with a victory.
Boren Zheng and
Alexander Lee dominated their #1 doubles match 8-5 and
Louis Frowein and
Jingyuan Chen joined with a 8-0 victory of their own in the #2 matchup.
Rumaish Khastgir and
Cooper Smith also added their 8-2 victory at #3 doubles to give NYU a commanding lead.
The momentum continued in singles as Frowein recorded a 6-0, 6-2 win in the #1 match and
Devan Sabapathy bested his opponent 6-1, 6-0 in his #2 bout. Smith triumphed 6-1, 6-0 in his #3 matchup as
Zachary Freier emerged victorious 6-3, 6-1 at #4.
Ryan Shayani and
Ronak Khara each double bageled their opponents. Shayani dropped a 6-0, 6-0 score at #5 and Khara as well at #6.
"As for senior day, it was great to have parents, family, and friends share in the recognition of our seniors. Our guys enjoyed playing in front of the home crowd," said Head Coach

The Violets will return to the courts tomorrow, Sunday, April 21 against Fordham University at 3:00pm.
