New York University's
28th-ranked women's tennis team maintained its perfect record in dual matches this season with a 6-3 victory over University Athletic Association (UAA) rival and 27th-ranked Brandeis University on Sunday at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx.
It was the Violets' eighth consecutive victory as they now boast an 8-0 record in dual matches this season.
Doubles won the day for NYU as the team claimed victory at all three flights despite a strong challenge from the Judges.
Ida Krause and
Dakota Fordham staved off their opponents for an 8-6 triumph at first doubles, while
Molly Heber/
Karina Jensrud earned an 8-5 victory at second doubles and the third flight was won 8-4 by NYU's

Singles play was a different story as the teams split the six matches. Jensrud battled at second singles after losing the first set in a tiebreaker, 6-7(3). She followed with 6-2, 6-4 wins in the next two sets to give NYU another point.
Menendez also had to go three sets to claim victory at third singles (6-2, 3-6, 6-2).
Nicole Wuelfing then gave the Violets their final triumph of the day with a spirited win at sixth singles. She fell behind in games with a 3-6 loss in the opening set, shutout her opponent 6-0 in the second and claimed victory in the third by taking a 12-10 super tiebreaker.
