Singer provided consistency all year long, leading the team in batting average (.357) and was second in on-base percentage (.462). He placed fifth in the UAA in on-base percentage and seventh in batting average, also tying for eighth with 13 stolen bases. The graduate transfer posted 12 multi-hit games, including five straight from March 20-27, and was a strong defender as he tied for ninth in the league in assists (52).
Gassler was the Violets' top pitcher in 2022, leading the UAA with the lowest ERA in the league (2.75). He also had the second-best K/9 (12.75) and finished fourth in the UAA in total strikeouts (51) despite being tied for 16th in innings pitched (36.0). The Pittsford, NY, native tied for third in the Association in saves (3) and eighth in wins (3). He delivered six scoreless outings and eight without giving up an earned run.
The senior went for multiple strikeouts in all but two of his 15 appearances and dazzled against St. Joseph's Brooklyn on May 4, recording the second-most strikeouts in a single game in program history with 11 across seven strong innings of work.
Roggero broke out as a junior, finishing among the top 13 in the UAA in multiple statistical categories. He tied for third in steals (18), eighth in triples (2), placed 11th in batting (.340), tied for 11th in slugging (.495) and 13th in RBIs (25). The outfielder notched 10 multi-hit outings, with four straight from April 9-15 and had at least two RBIs in all four of those games.
Dunn was 10th in the league in batting (.337) and on-base percentage (.442) while finishing 13th in slugging (.488). He put up at least two hits on seven occasions and had a season-high six RBIs against Lehman College on March 20.
As a team, NYU led the UAA in triples (17), stolen bases (97) and on-base percentage (.416) while ranking second in runs (275) despite playing the least amount of games in the league.
The Violets ended 2022 with a 19-13 record, their fifth consecutive winning season, and went 7-9 against UAA opponents.
