New York University's
eighth-ranked women's swimming team commanded their dual meet on Saturday against sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins University at the Palladium Natatorium, prevailing 165-97.
Kaley McIntyre logged two wins on the day to help lift the Violets over the Blue Jays. She left the rest of the field in whitewater in the 200 backstroke, clocking 2:02.96 to make the NCAA Division III B cut. She also dominated the 50 freestyle in 24.09.
Anna Li continued to establish herself as a breaststroke force after winning the 100 and 200 at the
NYU Fall Invitational. Against the Blue Jays, she claimed the 100 in 1:06.26 and the 200 in 2:22.86.
Emily Ma won the 100 backstroke in 57.83 while
Nicole Ranile took control of the 200 butterfly, posting a time of 2:04.99.
"That was really impressive," Head Coach
Trevor Miele said. "We just finished up our hardest training week of the semester and for them to swim that well was incredible."
The women will be back to make some waves at the Bruno Invitational hosted by Brown University in Providence, RI, on December 2-4.
