NYU vs, TCNJ Results
The New York University men's tennis team was edged by The College of New Jersey 5-4 on Saturday, March 16, in Ewing, NJ.
The Violets are now 3-3 this season, while the Lions remained unbeaten (6-0).
The match was as close as it could be, with the teams splitting the six singles matches and TCNJ taking two of the three doubles tilts.
Vishal Walia was NYU's top performer, winning both his #1 singles and his #3 doubles match (with Shrikar Kundar).
Also victorious for the Violets in singles were
Stefan Rodic (#2) and
Lucas Biondi (#5)
"This was a tough loss," said Head Coach
Horace Choy. "Our guys played really hard and competed all the way to the end. It came down to the last match and a difference of a point here or there."
The Violets now take a three-week break before returning to the court against Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, on Saturday, April 6.
"Now, we get a little break and have the opportunity to work on some things and to hopefully finish the season strong," Choy added.
