Philadelphia Invitational Results
The New York University women's fencing team won zero of its final four matches on the final day of competition at the Philadelphia Invitational, which was being hosted by the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday and Sunday, January 19-20, in Philadelphia, PA.
The Violets had a tough day with losses to Ohio State University (22-5), The University of Notre Dame (25-2), Temple University (17-10) and Northwestern University (20-7).
There were some strong individual performances from
Anastasiya Muravyeva and
Sarah Prilutsky, who both finished the day with four victories in foil.
Ally Hu led the epee team with three wins, while
Audrey Edgington was tops on the sabre team with three victories.
The Violets return to action on Saturday, February 2, when they go head-to-head against Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.
