The New York University men's tennis team defeated Brandeis University 6-3 on Friday, March 10, in Waltham, MA.
In doubles play, the Violets (2-1) picked up wins from freshman 
Michael Li and sophomore 
Benedict Teoh at #2 and senior 
Matt DeMichiel and junior 
Samuel Khoshbin at #3.
At #1 singles, senior 
Umberto Setter defeated Michael Arguello 6-1, 6-2. After losses in the next two singles matches, the Violets picked up wins at #4-6 from Li, freshman 
Vishal Walia and sophomore 
Yanik Parsch, to clinch the match.
"This was a big win for us," said NYU Head Coach 
Horace Choy. "We came out well in the doubles matches and continued that into singles play."
OTHER NOTABLES:

Zeb Zheng fell 9-8 (6) to Arguello and Brian Granoff at #1 doubles.
The Violets return to the court against Colby College on Sunday, March 12, at the Stadium Tennis Center in the Bronx.
