The New York University women's fencing team competed at the Eric Sollee Invitational, hosted by Brandeis University, on Saturday, January 30, in Waltham, MA.

The Violets (4-10) posted a 2-4 record on the day, defeating Haverford College (21-6) and Hunter College (23-4), while falling to Boston College (17-10), Brown University (15-12), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (17-10), and host Brandeis (15-12).

"Overall, the women had a good day. We're really starting to see everyone come into their own," said NYU Head Coach Steve Mormando.

"Anastasiya and Alisa were fantastic today," continued Mormando. "We are definitely building something great with this team for the future."
