The New York University men's tennis team lost to Case Western Reserve University 7-2 in the second round of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Saturday, April 25. The comopetition is being held at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, FL.
The #8-seeded Violets lost all three doubles matches to the #5-seeded Spartans, but fought hard in singles play and took two of six matches.
"It was a hard hole to dig out of after going down in doubles," said Head Coach
Horace Choy. "We showed a lot of heart and competed well in singles, taking three matches to the third set. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish with victories."
The Violets return to the court tomorrow to face #7 University of Rochester in the consolation draw. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am.
