The New York University men's tennis team lost to University Athletic Association (UAA) rival Brandeis University on Saturday, April 18, in Waltham, MA.
In doubles play, the teams played three tight matches. NYU came away with a victory in #3 doubles, as senior 
CJ Leong and sophomore 
Matt DeMichiel defeated Brandeis' Michael Secular and Alec Siegel 8-6.
In singles play, freshman 
Samuel Khoshbin (#4) picked up a straight-set win over Siegel, and DeMichiel (#5) defeated Ryan Bunis in three sets. However, Brandeis held on to earn their second-straight win and improve to 8-9 on the season. The Violets dropped to 3-7.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:- Freshman 
Ian Combemale lost a close match to Brandeis' Danny Lubarsky 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. This is just Combemale's second singles loss of the season.
The Violets return to action for the UAA Championship on Friday, April 24, in Sanlando Park, FL.
"Today's match was good preparation for the UAA Championship," said NYU Head Coach 
Horace Choy. "In the UAA, everyone battles for every point."
