The New York University men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 in a University Athletic Association (UAA) game on the road at #13 (D3Soccer.com) Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday afternoon, October 10, in Pittsburgh, PA.

"Our standard was very good and we were dangerous throughout the match," said NYU Head Coach
Kim Wyant. "Our team and individual defending is much better, which is giving us a better chance of winning games."
The game's lone score came from Carnegie Mellon's Matt DeJesus in the waning moments of the first half.
HIGHLIGHTS:-
Tristan Medios-Simon led NYU with its only two shots on goal.
- The two teams combined for six yellow cards (three for each).
"We still have a lot of work to do in the final third to become more dangerous," continued Wyant. "Although we're minimizing mistakes, we are still making critical ones which other teams are capitalizing on."
The Violets get back on the pitch this Monday, October 12, when they host Baruch College at 7:00 pm at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, NY.
